Porcelain veneers can instantly turn an unattractive smile into a beautiful work of art. These cosmetic dental restorations are ideal for people looking for a quick and effective way to cover stains, fix chips and close gaps. However, because the cosmetic procedure can’t be reversed, it’s important to have the right information before making a decision. So before you decide to have them placed, here are some things you should know:
Porcelain Veneers are thin porcelain shells that aim to enhance the appearance of your teeth while also providing strength and protection. These thin porcelain shells are bonded to your teeth’s enamel and can be customized to unique contour and shade of your natural teeth.
Compared to other cosmetic procedures, such as dental crowns and invisalign Invisible braces, veneers are less obstructive. Porcelain veneers can correct minor imperfections, such as masking stains, closing gaps, fixing chips, and creating a straighter smile.

About Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain is the popular material used for veneers due to its natural looking appearance and durability. Porcelain veneers can last over a decade or longer with proper care. This makes them a suitable mid to long-term solution for people who want to achieve a more attractive smile without needing orthodontic or other cosmetic procedures.
Our Process
Placing a veneer usually takes a couple of appointments. During your first appointment, your dentist will clean the tooth and choose the shade of the veneer that best matches your natural teeth. A small amount of enamel is removed so that the veneer can be placed on the tooth. A tooth impression is taken and sent to a dental lab to create your veneer. A temporary veneer is placed on the tooth to protect it while you are waiting for your permanent restoration.
Once your permanent veneer is ready, your temporary one is removed, the tooth is cleaned and the veneer is applied to the tooth with a cement. A special curing light is used to create a secure bond between the veneer and tooth. Any excess material is removed and the veneer is polished to give it a perfect shine.
